The Equipment List

Below is a list of the equipment that you should have for The Ride. You will have to carry this equipment, so you will have the final say of what you pack, but the list covers all the essential gear.

This would also be a good time to reiterate some expectations and recommendations so you can begin to get your mind and bike in the right state.

    • Remember, this is an epic ride. Enjoy it!
  • Make sure your bike is tuned up BEFORE you push off on the 19th
  • Make sure you know how to do simple and not so simple bike repairs.

I think the best riding backpack out there is the Deuter Cross Air. There are a lot of options for packs, but I have used this brand for 10 trips and would highly recommend them. They normally run about $125 but you can find the for less.
