If there really this many riders this year, I sure hope you all have called ahead for hotel rooms and rental cars. I plan to ride to SB. My rooms are booked and can't wait to ride. How can we reserve for a massage ahead of time? Also, there might be friends who might want to help SAG and do a bike relay? Are they allowed to do this with me? Thanks.

Massage? That's funny. Hey Mike, this guy wants a massage. Maybe you can carry his backpack for him too.
All kidding aside. There is no group organized massage or SAG. Some individuals convince a friend to drive along as SAG for them, but not the group. This is a self supported ride. You should know the route (maps will be posted and handed out), know how to change a flat and work through common road bike repairs and have a keen sense of humor. Your friend is more than welcome to ride portions with you and or relay back and forth with you. This has been done plenty of times and is a great option to enjoy this epic ride. Yep, maps. It was a sad concession that we had to make a couple rides back. Of course you don't have to take one because as we all know keeping the ocean on your right gets you to where you need to be.

Mark and I plan to ride to SB. We have reserved our rooms and have a ride back to SF. Thanks for all the organizing!
